About your course
As a Children, Young People and Family Manager you will ensure direction, alignment and commitment within your own practice, your team(s), your organisation and across partnerships to help children, young people and families aspire to do their best and achieve sustainable change.
As a Children, Young People and Family Manager you will ensure direction, alignment and commitment within your own practice, your team(s), your organisation and across partnerships to help children, young people and families aspire to do their best and achieve sustainable change. You will build teams, manage resources and lead new approaches to working practices that deliver improved outcomes and put the child, young person or family at the centre of practice.

How will your qualification be delivered
Our sector expert staff will support you to achieve the apprenticeship. We have highly skilled and knowledgeable staff with significant experience of working in the industry who will be able to share their experiences and support you. All learning is either on a 1-2-1 basis or small group webinars so you have the best experience possible with Phoenix 4 Training. You will have an eportfolio to gather and store all your evidence to support your apprenticeship.
End Point Assessment
End Point Assessment (EPA) happens on completion of the on- training and assessment stage. Apprentices bring together the knowledge, skills and behaviors learnt through the training stage to demonstrate that they are competent and can perform their roles to the national standard set out in the apprenticeship assessment plan.
End-point-assessment is conducted and graded by the Awarding Body’s Independent Assessor. The Apprenticeship Certificate is awarded after successful completion of the EPA.
The assessment for EPA contains two assessments methods:
1. Situational Judgement Test – a written test based on nine work-based scenarios within a children’s health and social care context. The outcome will highlight the apprentice’s competence in the application of the knowledge criteria outlined in the apprenticeship standard.
2. Competence Interview – the interview is a structured discussion between the apprentice and Independent Assessor. There will be probing questions and discussion about professional practice undertaken within the duration of the apprenticeship to determine the application of the knowledge, skills, and behaviors.
What you can do next
This qualification provides you with the core knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to work as a Manager in Children’s Residential Care or as a Children, Young People and Families Manager in the Community in a range of settings in local authorities, within health organisations, educational and early years settings or children’s centres, as well as a wide range of private voluntary and community organisations.
